Referrals

Orb’s services can be accessed via referral from both NHS Primary and Secondary Care and North Yorkshire Council Health & Adult Services. The majority of services are currently free of charge.

NHS Referrals

NHS Referrals

NHS referrals are managed by Route One to Wellness, the local voluntary sector community mental health partnership for Harrogate & Rural District that includes services provided by Orb Community Arts, Mind in Harrogate District, Claro Enterprises, and Wellspring Therapy & Training.

For a Primary Care referral please make an appointment with the Social Prescriber or First Contact Mental Health Practitioner at your local GP Surgery who can tell you about the Route One to Wellness support offer.

For a Secondary Care referral, you need to be receiving support from the Harrogate or Ripon Integrated Care Team at Tees Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Trust. Please speak to your support worker about the Route One to Wellness support offer.

North Yorkshire Council Referral

North Yorkshire Council Health & Adult Services can refer directly to Orb but require a Health & Social Care Needs Assessment.

For people already receiving support from Health & Adult Services please speak to your Care Coordinator.

For people not receiving support from Health & Adult Services, you can request an adult social care needs assessment though this is not a guarantee of being able to access Orb services. Please follow this link for more information.
